There are 110 verses in Surah Al-Kahf, which is a Meccan surah, and Chapter 18 of the Quran. It is so called because verses 9–26 tell the tale of the "People of the Cave." The surah discusses a number of subjects, such as the value of religion, the peril of religious hypocrisy, and what happens to individuals who reject the teachings of Islam. It is also thought to have other advantages and rewards, including defense against the Dajjal (the False Messiah) and a rise in wisdom. It is frequently repeated for blessings and protection and is regarded as one of the most significant surahs in the entire Quran.
